*This week is the last week of classes of the semester for Dickinson students, and tomorrow night is the last Friday Night Fellowship large group meeting until students return late January. It will be an international Christmas celebration. Scripture of the Christmas story will be shared in multiple languages. Christmas songs & carols from other cultures will be shared as well. We will all join together in worship though traditional carols. Please pray that this will be a joyful time of praising God and celebrating the birth of Jesus, and remembering all that He has done for us who are unified in Christ while being from all different cultural backgrounds.
*Praise God that one of our students was baptized at a local church the Sunday before Thanksgiving! This is the same student I wrote about in my October newsletter who had a life-transforming experience at shift.10 (our fall conference). If you do not know her story or would like to remind yourself of it, click here: http://kellyatdson.blogspot.com/2010/11/october-2010-newsletter.html She is also planning on studying abroad in Bologna next semester. Praise God for how He works things out- the place she chose to study abroad (before we even met) is where I have lived and can connect her with people who will help her to continue growing in Christ. Please pray for her protection and that her passion for Jesus would continue to grow in her semester away from us.
*Please pray for students- the next 10 days or so will be filled with exams and hours of studying & paper writing. It is often a stressful time and the work load can seem overwhelming. Pray that God will give them a sense of peace and that they will continually come to Him as their source of strength. Pray also for safe travels home and restful vacations.
*Finally, please continue to pray for my support raising! I am still far from my end of the year goal, though I trust in God to provide & in His timing.
As always, thank you so much for your continued support and prayers.
