Praise:
*In my last prayer update a couple weeks ago, I asked for prayer for DCF's (Dickinson Christian Fellowship- the name of the InterVarsity chapter at Dickinson) mini-retreat. It went extremely well! The student speakers did a great job, and the small group discussions that followed contained a lot of participation and sharing, often going pretty deep. It was also a great bonding time for the students, they all bonded together as a group with no exclusions or cliques and had a lot of fun. The picture attached is of the students who participated.
Prayer Requests:
*Students are currently on their fall break, and most will be returning Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Please pray that they will have safe travels and return refreshed for the second half of the semester.
*This coming weekend is our area's fall conference, known as shift.10. Please pray for the speaker, Neil Livingstone, as well as for the staff (my area team) who are putting it on. Pray for the 75+ students who are attending, that God would really speak to them this weekend and they would leave changed. Pray for myself and Betsy, we are leading a short seminar during the weekend. So far there are 3 Dickinson students attending, although a couple more have said they will come- students can choose to come up to the last minute, so please pray that more will decide to!
*Please continue to pray for my support. I am beginning to go to churches in the Carlisle area who do not already support the Dickinson ministry, please pray that God will give me wisdom as I speak with them and that He would put it in their hearts to join in on the mission of reaching this important part of the Carlisle community.
