~We have a large number of freshman who are continually involved, and already have become connected to particular aspects of the fellowship (prayer, praise team, outreach)
~The leadership team has developed a system for follow-up and have been sticking to it, making large progress steps in their commitment to improve follow-up
~I attended a seminar/retreat on spiritual leadership with some other staff on Thursday, and even though I am young in my "leadership" position, it was very helpful and exactly what I needed at that time
Prayer Requests:
~The DCF Mini-Retreat is currently going on (will last through tomorrow evening). It is a student lead retreat. The topic is Your Relationship with God, with student speakers on Building, Maintaining and Sharing your relationship. Please pray that students will examine and grow in their relationships with God and have a great time of fellowship with one another.
~We already have a few students who say they will attend our (InterVarsity) area's fall conference, pray that more will sign up. It is a good opportunity for students to get away, be challenged and focus on God as well as interact with students from other fellowships~Please continue to pray for my support to come in! I have a long way to go, and am searching for more people to talk about the ministry with. I can only spend an extremely limited amount of time with students until I get my support, which can be frustrating at times.
