On a weekend trip home, I went to my family's church on Sunday and had the privilege of hearing Jim & Jill Kelly speak. For those of you who don't know, Jim Kelly was the star quarterback of the Buffalo Bills during our Super Bowl years, and is in the NFL Hall of Fame. However the story that they have to share is much more incredible than those accomplishments. Jim & Jill's son, Hunter, was born with Krabbe's disease- a rare, devastating and at the time practically unknown disease. Through this experience, they both came to Christ.
They both have very different and powerful testimonies. Jill wrote a book called Without a Word that shares Hunter's story and how, as Jill says, "Jesus intervened to save our family". I encourage you to check out the book and watch the video of them speaking below. It's an amazing story of a family who had it all, almost lost it all, then gained it all through Christ.
